Is Brandon Vera still the truth?

Once the most recognizable Filipino American mixed martial Artist with a very promising record turned out to be just another regular MMA fighter.  These are the facts and even Brandon Vera cannot deny these. He took his MMA career for granted and losing his recent 3 bouts is just a fracture of the reason why he was released by UFC management.

Watching his recent fights, I am one of the witnesses of how he slowly turned to be a fighter without enough passion and love for the game. Being a Filipino and being exposed to fighters like Manny Pacquiao you would expect from another Filipino Fighter to have the same attitude toward his fight. 

But I am not here to talk about Pacquiao or any other fighter; I am here because I want to know the truth.

So what are the truths?

• The truth is Brandon Vera was reinstated by UFC management  
•  The truth is he only lost his two recent bout because the fight with Thiago Silva was ruled no contest due to Silva’s drug test issue
• The truth is he still lost his fight even if its ruled no contest
• The truth is that Vera blew it
• The truth is that he is already old and he cannot fight in the elite level
• The truth is that he can never regain his momentum 
• The truth is that Vera never really have the potential to be champion
• The truth is that Vera will never be a champion
•  The truth is that Vera lost his passion for the game
• The truth is that Vera is not ready to comeback
• The truth is that Vera will no longer win another fight 
• The  truth is that Vera is not the Truth

"I have a second shot at life. I've been training now like I did before I got in the UFC. Since I got to the UFC, I've been walking around with a big head and taking (expletive) for granted," he said. "I wasn't in love with the sport anymore. I wasn't going to fights. I would only watch when my friends were fighting on TV. I love the sport again."
