Blazers' Damian Lillard Set Up Team Bonding in San Diego

Portland Trail Blazers' superstar, Damian Lillard showed leadership in his team by arranging a players-only week in San Diego, California, to make each player get to know each other before the training camp.

It was Lillard's idea to gather all the old and new Blazers to increase their team chemistry and to make themselves comfortable to each other. Lillard said that in San Diego, the guys spend all of their times together, starting from working out each morning, played basketball in the afternoon, even went to a San Diego Padres baseball game together.

Since during this off-season LaMarcus Aldridge had signed with the Spurs, Wes Matthews is now a Maverick, and Robin Lopez had moved to New York Knicks, undoubtedly Lillard will step up as the leader of the young Portland Trail Blazers, which has 11 new players addition to the roster for next NBA season. Last season, the 2-times All Star point guard averaged 21.0 points per game, 6.2 assists per game, and 3.8 rebounds and took Blazers' to the NBA Playoffs, before got eliminated by Memphis Grizzlies 4-1 in Western Conference's first round.
