Golden State Warriors breaks best start in NBA history

To tell you honestly, I was really surprised to see the Golden State Warriors on a hot streak like this. Starting with a 16-0 record, they now broke the best start in NBA history by a team since the Houston Rockets of the 1993-1994 season and the Washington Bullets of the 1948-1949 season did it. They were good last year, but with this kind of start, I am running out of superlatives to describe this team.

Now they are waving on a crest of making NBA history where no team has ever gone so far after they faced the Los Angeles Lakers at home in Oracle Arena. The amazing Golden State Warriors thumped Kobe Bryant and the Lakers with a 111-77 victory. The Dubs are on a roll, and I think there is no stopping it yet what with the kind of schedule that they have in the following days. They will be away from home when they face the Phoenix Suns, but be back again at Oracle Arena versus the Sacramento Kings and four straight games on the road versus Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets, Toronto Raptors and the Brooklyn Nets.

We asked some sports enthusiasts and players if what team do they think can beat the Golden State Warriors first, and these are their responses:

Toronto Raptors. I think this young team can beat the Dubs away from Oracle Arena. --Tom Joel Paliangayan, Liceo de San Pedro Sports Writer

The San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers or Houston Rockets. James Harden is my idol. It seems like basketball is very easy for him. - Pawandeep Singh, Power Forward at AMA University High School.

I hope The GSW will not be defeated any time soon, but I think the Toronto Raptors can beat them on their (Raptor’s) home court. – Lorenz Gerard Viajar, Small Forward at University of the East Red Warriors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers can beat the Golden State Warriors but in their home floor in Quickenloans Arena. – Kent Matthew Contorno, Small Forward, University of Batangas Brahmans.

Lebron James and the Cavaliers can beat the Golden State Warriors—Javier Joaquin Gomez de Liano, UPIS basketball player.
