5 Trade Targets for Barangay Ginebra

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is desperately in need of help. They are lacking of wing scorers and a 3 and D guy. Chris Ellis is an asset in defense but a liability in the offensive end and hasn't developed into his full potential. Is it time to part with Chris Ellis for Ginebra? Let's take a look on the top 5 players ginebra should get in a trade for Chris Ellis.

5. Rey Guevarra - SG/SF (6'4, 190 lbs)

Given an opportunity, we all know what Fafa Rey can do inside the court. He can shoot, defend and will give you highlights in a fastbreak getaway or even in a drive. Guevarra has been playing limited minutes with the Meralco Bolts last season. This season, with the resurgence of Chris Newsome, he isn't expected to play bigger minutes with the team. Ginebra could pursue a trade with the Meralco Bolts packaging Chris Ellis for Rey Guevarra and a future first rounder and use Guevarra as their three-and-D guy.

4. Ronald Pascual - SG/SF (6'4, 190 lbs)

There are reports saying that Ronald Pascual isn't happy anymore with his role in the Star Hotshots. Known in his playing days in college, part of the Pinatubo Trio of the Stags with Calvin Abueva and Ian Sangalang, the top 3 overall pick of the 2014 PBA Draft has yet to make a name in the PBA in his second year as a pro. Given time, Pascual will surely fill the stat sheet. He could be the missing piece in Ginebra's campaign. Ginebra could get him and a future first round pick from Star Hotshots in a three team trade.

3. Anthony Semerad - SF/PF (6'5, 230 lbs)

Anthony Semerad had a great rookie season but saw his minutes decreased in his second year with the coming of Joseph Yeo and Jay Washington in GlobalPort, Known in his playing days with the San Beda Red Lions, this guy is a proven three-and-D player. He can guard 2-3-4 positions and could be a big help in Barangay Ginebra's campaign. Ginebra could package Chris Ellis for Anthony Semerad and a future first round pick.

2. Sean Anthony - SF/PF (6'4, 220 lbs)

Sean Anthony is doing well with the NLEX Road Warriors jersey and definitely has a high value. This guy can bring you energy, hustle, rebounds, can shoot inside and can shoot the three. Sean Anthony could play as a starter in Small Forward position or could back up Japeth Aguilar in 4. Ginebra could get him and a second rounder for Chris Ellis and future first round pick.

1. Chris Lutz - SG/SF (6'3, 220 lbs)

Marcio Lassiter is thriving well in San Miguel jersey but his back court partner saw limited minutes in the loaded back court composed of Alex Cabagnot, Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter, Ronald Tubid, Brian Heruela and Ryan Arana. Chris Lutz will give Ginebra a solid shooter and defender. He will surely thrive in the triangle system of CTC in Ginebra. Ginebra could get him in a three team trade sending Chris Ellis to the San Miguel Beermen.
