Top Rank boxer Hong Kong's "Wonder Kid" Rex Tso to face ex World title challenger
One of the Top Rank's fighter, Rex "The Wonder Kid" Tso of Hong Kong will face former WBC World title challenger Young Gil Bae of South Korea in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center May 14th.
Newly crowned WBC Asian Boxing Council Super flyweight champion Rex Tso who has an unbeaten record of 18 wins with 11 KO's is looking forward to a title shot against WBA champion Kohei Kono of Japan but before a World title shot he needs to surpass Young Gil Bae of S.Korea,
Bae (27-5-1,21)fought for the title against the current WBC minimumweight World Champion Wanheng Menayothin of Thailand but loses the title even before the fight inside the ring. The Korean was 1.5lbs over the Minimumweight limit (105 lbs.) a limit that he had never previously made. Not only was he over-weight but it appears that he he never tried to make the limit.Despite of his height and reach advantage Bae came up short against the champion and suffered 9th round TKO defeat last November 24 in Choburi Thailand.
