Color Manila is a running event that has been going on for four years, since its inception in 2012. It has been labeled as a "fun" run event, with the owners putting more emphasis on the "fun" aspect.
It started when partners Jay Em and Justine Cordero had the idea of bringing the "Color Run" event from other countries into the Philippines, thinking it would be a great hit among Filipinos. And they were right. They rebranded it as "Color Manila", bringing with them the name of the Philippine capital wherever they go. It showed the fun the country had through color powders and short running distances (3k, 5k, 10k).

Currently, Color Manila has franchised three events. Their first, was the Color Manila Morning Run. The second, the Color Manila Challenge, includes an obstacle course. Their third and most popular is the Color Manila: Blacklight Run, which is held at night.
On April 21, 2016, Color Manila held a press conference in the Prive Luxury Club. It aimed to show the media its origins, and its purpose. Representatives from newspapers (Manila Bulletin, Phil. Daily Inquirer), blogs (Rappler), and television networks (TV5) were present.
What people didn't see in this event was its capability to give back. Color Manila announced their medium of charity work, the Color Manila Foundation, which aims to help the less fortunate in provinces around the country.
The Color Manila: Blacklight Run will be held at Filinvest, Alabang, on May 28, 2016. You can go to their website, colormanilarun.com, for more information.
