Pretty Boy Ancajas: Next Pinoy World Champion?
Jerwin "Pretty Boy" Ancajas (24-1-1,16KO's) is ready for his first title shot against undefeated Puerto Rican Mcjoe Arroyo (17-0,8KO's) this coming April 16 at Strike Colisseum in Bacoor Cavite, Philippines. The World title fight is promoted by MP Boxing Promotions International in cooperation with international boxing promoter Sampson Lewkowicz.
Ancajas started to box at age 9 and became an amateur National Champion. He decided to turn to professional boxer on year 2009. The 24 year-old Ancajas is now training in Tanay Rizal with his new manager/trainer Joven Jimenez
Jerwin Ancajas was ordered for a World title eliminator last year by the IBF to determine the #1 contender and the mandatory for IBF strap but no one in the top 15 has his own courage to face the Filipino fighter so that the IBF has decided to promote Ancajas as the mandatory challenger and gave him the No.1 spot to challenge the champion Mcjoe Arroyo.
The 30-year old Puerto Rican and the reigning IBF Super flyweight World champion Mcjoe Arroyo will defend his crown for the first time against Ancajas. Arroyo won the IBF title last July 10 over another Filipino Arthur Villanueva via controversial 10th round Technical Decision.
