The "URCC 27: Rebellion" Weigh-Ins

It's official! URCC is at it again with its 27th event here in the Philippines. The event is marketed as URCC 27: Rebellion.

The URCC is the biggest MMA promoter in Asia, the first in the Southeast region. The official weigh-ins were held at Newport Plaza, Resorts World Manila. The stage was spiced up by girls from Megasports World, and the ring girls from Resorts World's own dance troupe.

The main bout of this years event is between Korean challenger Do Gyeom Lee, and Filipino defending champion Red Romero. They will be competing for the URCC featherweight championship.

Trailing behind them are promising fighters that certainly have something to bring to this years event.  These match-ups incude Switzerlands' Chris Hofmann versus the Philippine's Caloy Baduria.

 A funny incident between fighters Carlo Laurel and Alvin Ramirez happened at the weigh-ins. Laurel came at Ramirez as he was being weighted. The two did not have a proper staredown, as they were too busy being held back.
