Joshua Pacio Gets The Title Shot He Rightfully Deserved
If you live your passion then success will follow and it is what young and green Joshua Felix Pacio is about. Team Lakay's brightest young talent found his way into the biggest fight of his MMA career through his belief in himself and belief in God will provide him. A title fight against the ONE strawweight world champion and unbeaten Yoshitaka Naito of Japan in the main event.
His weakness is the stand-up fight, Muay Thai and kickboxing. But if the fight will be on the ground, he can win. Naito told this in an interview before. True enough, Yoshitaka Naito submits Dejdamrong to claim the strawweight belt last May.
Joshua has 3 by knockout and 5 by submission in his pro MMA record of 8 wins. He is a smart fighter. His skills and the plan he has to execute are what will determine the victory for this fight.
Just a month ago in ONE Championship 45: Heroes of the World at the Cotai Arena, The Venetian Macau, Joshua Pacio sealed his second ONE championship fight win and stays undefeated with eight win overall. He finished Kritsada Kongsrichai by choking him out in the first round.
The hometown crowd witnessed his successful debut at ONE Championship 41: Global Rivals last April. The event tookplace at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines. Joshua Pacio also finished a fellow Filipino Rabin Catalan. He won by TKO in round two.
Pacio signed up with ONE Championship this year after his submission victory at Team Lakay Championship last March. He is only 20 years old but Joshua Pacio has done so much in less than a year with ONE championship. And to nobody's surprise, championship belt is on the line.
Here's the history of the fight of the 20-year-old Baguio native:
