Magramo,Taconing and Morton Triumph at 18th Gabriel "Flash" Elorde Awards

Jhonny Elorde International Production's boxer Giemel Magramo , Jonathan Taconing and Casey Morton of Hawaii emerged victorious at the 18th Gabriel "Flash" Elorde Boxing Awards held at Okada Hotel in Paranaque City, March 25, 2018.

Casey "Lady Hawaiian Punch" Morton  (7-0-3,1) outpointed Thailand's Nongmuay Kokietgym (13-4-3) to secure the WBO Female Asia Pacific Flyweight Title. All three judges scored it a shutout, 100-90.

Jonathan Taconing (27-3-1,22) outslugged a very game Robert Onggocan (9-4,5) in their 110 pounds catchweight bout in the co-main event and the best fight of the night. The fight was a close one with the scores of 96-94, 97-93,97-93. Taconing was the more aggressive throughout the fight but Onggocan was very effective with his counter punches. Taconing went down twice but the referee Silvestre Abainza ruled it a slip. Jonathan Taconing is currently rated WBO#2 WBC#2 and IBF#8 in the light flyweight division (108 pounds) and looking forward to getting another title shot later this year. 

In the main event, Giemel Magramo (21-1,17) proved that he also a world-caliber boxer winning an 8th round Technical Knockout over Manobo boxer Michael Bravo (13-2,6). Magramo forced Bravo to quit at the rest period of the 7th round. Giemel Magramo who is currently rated WBC#16 and WBA#14 in the flyweight division captured the WBO Oriental Flyweight Title.
