Manila, Philippines | December 2024 – The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has officially announced the 2025 Singapore T100 Triathlon as the opening event of the T100 Triathlon World Tour, scheduled for April 5-6, 2025. The competition will feature 2024 T100 World Champion Marten Van Riel, who is eager to race in Singapore for the first time.
This premier multisport event invites Filipino triathletes and enthusiasts to participate, with early registration highly encouraged to allow time for training. The Singapore leg of the tour is returning for its third year, following its successful 2024 edition that saw Olympic swimmer Joseph Schooling and Health Minister Ong Ye Kung join over 5,000 amateur participants.
The 2025 Singapore T100 will feature the world’s top 20 male and female professional triathletes, alongside amateur competitors tackling:
- 100km triathlon: 2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run.
- Standard duathlon: 4.5km run, 32km bike, 4.5km run.
- Long duathlon: 9km run, 64km bike, 9km run.

Marten Van Riel: Ready for Singapore
Fresh off his 2024 championship win in Dubai, Belgian triathlete Marten Van Riel is excited to make his Singapore debut. Reflecting on his recent success, Van Riel shared:
“Winning the T100 Triathlon World Tour was a dream come true. After some rest, I’m ready to level up in 2025. I’ve heard amazing things about Singapore’s race, and I can’t wait to experience it myself.”
Van Riel dominated the 2024 season, winning three out of four T100 races and finishing second in the other. His incredible journey culminated in a hard-fought victory in Dubai, where he outlasted German Rico Bogen and British legend Alistair Brownlee.
Enhanced Course and Iconic Backdrops
The PTO is working to improve the 2025 course by adding new iconic landmarks and minimizing its impact on downtown Singapore. Updates to the course layout will be announced soon.
