Rajko Toroman is confident that the national team is strong enough to win the (SEABA) Championship

For hardcore Basketball fans we all know that the (SEABA) Southeast Asian Basketball Association Championship tournament is a weak tournament. We are not even sending our top players or team to these tournament and they still win. (source)

And now the Smart Gilas, after the disappointment of loosing in their own country, the Smart Gilas is off to Jakarta to play in the SEABA championship tournament. Against Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. No real treat here so if Smart Gilas don't win the championship they should disband it. The memory of their last tournament still hunt me as I expect no less than a championship but ended up getting nothing, not even a bronze. Gone are the days of the Allan Caidics, Vergel Meneses, Keneth Duremdes, Alvin Patrimonio, Benjie Paras, Johnny Abarientos and the Centennial team. The Tournament in Jakarta should be an easy one and if Rajko will not be able to bring the championship we should fire him already.
