Lakers Select Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson in NBA Draft

Filipino-American Jordan Clarkson officially got drafted to the NBA. The junior out of Missouri will join the Los Angeles Lakers as the 46th pick of the 2014 NBA Draft at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Lakers worked out on a trade with the Washington Wizards for the draft pick, the 16th in the second round.

The 6’5” guard, whose mother is a Filipina, averaged 17.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists with an 83.1% clip from the free throw line in his lone season at Mizzou after spending his first two playing years at Tulsa.

The Lakers earlier selected Julius Randle from Kentucky as the seventh pick of the draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Andrew Wiggins as the first overall pick of the draft, while Jabari Parker went second with the Milwaukee Bucks.
