Pacquiao will definitely apply for PBA rookie draft

“No problem if Manny were to coach Kia,” Salud said. “But if he wants to play, he will have to apply for drafting.” - PBA Commissioner 

No problem too. According to Pacquiao, he will be joining the PBA draft this August 24 at Robinson’s Place in Ermita, Manila.  

Look for Robinson place Manila to be jam pack on that date as sports fans will converge in this highly anticipated, criticize and definitely fun filled event as our Philippine National fist becomes our National balls, well that is true, he got a lot of balls joining a basketball league that is dominated by players that are enormously  a lot bigger than him, not to mention he is getting a lot of criticism for making the move to basketball. 

On August 24, I wont be surprise if Robinson Place, the venue for the PBA draft will echo a familiar name, as fans would most probably shout Manny! Manny! Manny! once again but this time it could be a mixture of them being proud or perhaps just making fun of the situation.  

“Bale wala sa ’kin yon,” According to Manny Pacquiao, which means I don't really care what people say.

Manny Pacquiao had a lot of experience battling it out with athletes who are a lot bigger and taller than him like Antonio Margarito and Oscar Dela Hoya but its not basketball. We don't know if Coach Freddie Roach will be beside him during games and we are also not sure if Nike is planning to take advantage of this turn of events, perhaps they should make a shoe for Pacquiao that is a few centimeters thicker, to make up for the height. 

For those of you who don't know Manny Pacquiao had already played for teams in the Mindanao-Visayas Basketball Association (MVBA) and Liga Pilipinas. 

FYI: His cousin who is 6'7 will be joining the draft, wait what? Rene Pacquiao is a 6-foot-7 former Southwestern Cobra player as CESAFI and don's ask me what it means. Rene and Manny will be enlisted in the draft while Bobby Pacquiao have decided not to follow his brother, he will be sniping balls instead.
