People have all been anticipating the trilogy fight between
Urajiah “The California Kid” Faber and Dominic “The Dominator” Cruz for quite some
time now.
The rivalry started 9years ago when Faber defended his WEC
26 in 2007 featherweight belt against Cruz.
In this video Faber said that he will “humble” the young kid
and indeed he walked the talk, winning via guillotine choke just in the
first round.
4years later the rivals got at it again this time it’s under
UFC 132 in 2011.
It’s a different story this time around! the seasoned dominator took home the unanimous decision against the
California kid.
The trilogy bout was set in July 2012 at UFC 148 however 2months
prior the fight Cruz suffered an ACL injury which forced him to pull out.
All though it’s NOT YET OFFICIAL the trilogy is expected to
happen soon! As Dominic Cruz expressed an interest to once again fight his
bitter rival.
No such thing as “Ring rust” for the Dominator as he just
recently reclaimed the belt and “The California Kid “absolutely still got it. It’s
been a long overdue and I’m sure combat sport fans can’t wait for the official
announcement!!
