#3 Jericho Cruz
Cruz was the best Elasto Painter in the 2016 Commissioner's Cup. He manufactured 13.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 44.7% 3FG and 50.9% FG in 23.7 minutes of play. Converting that to 36 minutes of play will make that 20.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
He was a prominent part of the scheme of the Elasto Painters as he ended with the 2nd most Usage Rate in the team. His defense was also above average in the conference. I am pretty sure ROS would have not triumph without him.
#2 Greg Slaughter
Yes, Ginebra only finished in the Quarterfinals once again but the performance of Gregzilla still deserves recognition. Greg statline was 17.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 51.9% FG. That alone will not be enough to show the domination of Greg in this Conference. His Offensive Rating was 117.3 and his Defensive Rating was 93.0, which means a net effect of 24.3.
Greg was more energetic in this conference but the lack of support from their other starters and their inability to work as a team led to the demise of their Com. Cup run.
#1 Calvin Abueva
Abueva was no doubt the main man of Alaska Aces in the Commissioner's Cup. He has the most Usage Rate of players in Aces uniform in the Elimination and Playoffs round. Actually, he has the second most Usage Rate in the playoffs in the entire league!
Calvin did 17.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.4 steals, 33.3% 3FG and 44.1% FG per game in the Conference. That speaks a lot about his versatility, hustle and fierceness. His defense was also impressive in both aspect, team and individual defense.
