Champions League results: Messi and Ozil with Hat-tricks,Bayern back to winning ways,Paris also secured a win

Barcelona 4-0 Manchester City

Pep Guardiola returned to Camp Nou last night for a champions league group match, only this time he returned as the manager of the opposing team Manchester City as they attempt to return to winning ways after being held to a draw last weekend in the Premier League. But in just the 17th minute City already received a reality check when Barcelona went ahead thanks to a calm trickery by Messi inside the box after Fernandinho slipped while defending the ball. In the 61st minute Messi once again scored another goal then just 8 minutes later another Man City mistake was capitalized by Messi for complete his hat-trick. Neymar Jr. added one more goal for Barcelona in the 89th minute. However the match unfortunately finished 10 vs 10 as Claudio Bravo and Mathieu were sent off. 

Arsenal 6-0 Ludogorets

Arsenal treat its home fans with a goal fest last night against the Bulgarian champions Ludogorets. Alexis Sanchez's opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a marvelous strike of the ball. Theo Walcott who just scored 2 goals last weekend in the league, continued his great scoring run for Arsenal as he scored the 2nd goal of the game in the 42nd minute. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain tripled the lead just 1 minute after the second half began, then in the 56th, 83rd and 87th minute German international Mesut Ozil scored a hat-trick to take the match ball.  

Bayern Munich 4-1 PSV Eindhoven

After two successive draws in the German Bundesliga. Bayern Munich returned to winning ways after their win in a champions league group stage match. Thomas Muller finally broke the cold spell in front of the goal as he scored Bayern's first goal in the 13th minute. Joshua Kimmich doubled the lead of the Bavarians in the 21st minute. With just 4 minutes left in the 1st half PSV were back in the match as Luciano Narsingh socres a goal for the reigning Dutch champions. However PSV couldnt produce a comeback as Robert Lewandowski restored his side's two goal cushion in the 59th minute with Arjen Robben finally putting the match beyond out of the reach for the Dutch side when he scored for Bayern in the 84th minute.

Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 FC Basel

As PSG still moving on after the exit of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to move to Manchester United. The reigning French Champions proved that even without him they can still compete in the highest level in the champions league when won against FC Basel. Angel di Maria opened the scoring for the French team in the 40th minute to put his side up. Lucas followed things up when he scored a goal in the 62nd minute when he capitalized by a Basel defender to double the lead. Edinson Cavani put the icing on the cake as he scored his 21st goal in the champions league and 35th goal in total on European club competitions in the 90th minute of the game.

UEFA Champions league will return in two weeks for the 2nd half of the group stages. The matches in two weeks will be the reverse match ups of this weeks champions league fixtures.
