Elorde boxer Randy Braga to challenge OPBF champ Ryo Takenaka

Filipino Randy "The Master" Braga will challenge the reigning and defending Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) Featherweight champion Japanese Ryo Takenaka on October 13th at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo Japan.

Randy "The Master" Braga from Jhonny Elorde Promotions is the current Philippines Games & Amusement Board (GAB) featherweight title he won the title with a split decision win over Neil John Tabanao on July 2015 and defended it once against tough Danilo Pena on February. His only setback was a razor thin split decision against African Mcbute Sinyabi. Braga who has a record of 19W(5KOs)-1L-1D) will try to unify his title with OPBF title when he face Takenaka. 

Takenaka (14-3-1,8KOs) of Misako gym won the OPBF title with a big 5th round TKO win against Braga's former stablemate Vinvin Rufino. His last fight was a 6th round TKO win against Akira Shono on April where he defended his OPBF title at the same time.

Another Filipino will fight in the undercard of Braga-Takenaka OPBF Showdown. Undefeated 20 year-old Dexter Alimento (11-0,7KOs) will face 22 year-old hard hitting Masataka Taniguchi (4-0,4) in a battle of unbeateans
