It was just a month ago after the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel won their first championship in eight years and the PBA will open it's 42nd season tomorrow. Let us examine how each team did in the offseason.
STAR HOTSHOTS
Players in: Paul Lee, Aldrech Ramos, Samboy De Leon
Players out: James Yap, Jerwin Gaco, Alex Mallari, RR Garcia
Drafted players: Jiovani Jalalon, Chris Javier
GRADE: A-
The Star Hotshots traded their long time face of the franchise and two-time MVP James Yap for a much younger Paul Lee. They've lost a veteran that can provide them some baskets in the clutch time. In return, they acquired Paul Lee, 27, who can also carry some scoring load for the new hotshots team and Aldrech Ramos who can provide some shooting and scoring in the perimeter and the paint. They also invested for their future as they added a talented point guard in Jiovani Jalalon and a big man who can also shoot from the outside in Chris Javier.
They are now a more balanced team, as they traded some of their guards (RR Garcia and Alex Mallari) for a much needed player in other position and got a new coach in Chito Victolero, a much experienced coach compared to Jason Webb (who is now one of the Hotshot's assistant coach)
