Leipzig are definitely the fairy tale team of the season, who after 9 games remained unbeaten and challenging leaders Bayern at the top of the table. In just the 3rd minute Leipzig were already thanks to a strike by Timo Werner whose shot was saved properly by the keeper as the ball bounced over him towards the goal after making contact to it. They were 2-0 up in the 21st minute after a superb counter attacking when Werner this time assisted the goal to Emil Forsberg who beats his defender to have an easy shot on goal. The two players once executed another great teamwork in the 44th minute when Forsberg once again past his defender which allows him to cross the ball to the waiting boots of Werner to score his second and make it 3-0. Stefan Bell manages to score a consolation goal for Mainz in the 74th minute when he headed a ball from a corner kick.
Bayern Munich 1-1 Hoffenheim
A battle of two undefeated teams, also an important matchup in terms of the positions on the top of the table. Karem Deribay put Hoffenheim in front in the 16th minute from an Nadiem Amiri assist. Steven Zuber scored an own goal to make it 1-1 after he puts the ball inside the net from a lightning pace low cross from Douglas Costa. The own goal was a big goal, because that was the last goal scored during that match.
Hamburger SV 2-5 Borussia Dotrmund
Dortmund are looking to end their four game winless streak in the Bundesliga when they took the bottom team Hamburg who are currently suffering their worst start ever. Dortmund were already up in just the 4th minute when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored an easy goal in an open goal when the keeper failed to produce a better save on the cross which falls to Aubameyang for an easy finish. In the 23rd minute Aubameyang scored his second of the game after an Emre Mor assist when capitalizes on the slip of the Hamburg defender to have an open counter attack against a helpless goalkeeper. Aubameyang got his Hat-Trick just four minutes later in the 27th minute when he beats his defender on the run, and strikes the ball which the keeper once again failed to save well as it slips past him after he made contact to it. Aubameyang has his fourth goal of the game in the 48th minute after a great strike inside the penalty box to make it 4-0 for Dortmund. Nicolai Muller managed to score for Hamburg after a great run towards the goal to make it 4-1. Ousmane Dembele restored the four goal lead by Dortmund when he scored in the 76th minute from an Aubameyang assist. Muller once again scored for Hamburg with nine minutes left in the game to reduce the goal difference to three goals after the match where it ended 5-2.
