Parting is such sweet sorrow indeed. In no
time, an athlete will soon step to the next ladder of his career and the
courtside memories will live on as he bids farewell to another chapter in life.
But still, basketball is in his blood and will stay on forever. Meet Klein Aldrin
‘Game Time’ Barroga.
As a graduating student, Klein wants to leave
a legacy of being a hardworking athlete and caring team mate. “At times when we
don’t have practice, I invite my teammates to join me for an extra practice
especially to my new team mates. I want also to be remembered as a brother to
other players and friends at TUA”, said Klein.
Born Klein Aldrin Barroga on September 22, 1992 in
San Juan City, the 5-foot-4 point guard plays for the Trinity University of
Asia White Stallions Seniors basketball team. He is currently taking up HRM.
“I want to thank my former coaches, to coach
Bernard, to all of my former teammates from the start that I joined TUA
Stallions. I met a lot of good friends because of basketball”.
Klein registered his career high of 30 points during
his high school days at St. Joseph school, during the MMiCAA AAPS league. Aside
from basketball, he is also fond of billiards, bowling and badminton. In the
PBA, he looks up to his idol JJ Helterbrand of Ginebra Gin Kings while in the
NBA, he likes Allen ‘The Answer’ Iverson. His favorite shot is set shot. One of
his preparations for the upcoming tournaments this year for his school would be
self-discipline. “Work hard and discipline in this sport is what I am working
on as a student-athlete for me and my team” said Klein.
His ambition in life is to be a successful
entrepreneur and a basketball superstar someday. With perseverance and hard
work, the road to basketball glory may not be far-fetched for a determined guy
like Klein.
