Being in the roster of the National Collegiate Athletic Association or NCAA team to play for your respective school is a privilege in itself, but helping them to make your team at the top of their game is also another achievement. And it is never an easy task for any student, just like UPHSD’s shooting guard Byron Alano. Let us take a peek at this interview with the handsome cager.
Born Byron Alano on April 19, 1997 in Manila, the 5-foot-11 point guard/shooting guard plays for the University of Perpetual Help Systems Dalta team. “I started playing basketball when I was seven years old. I joined a basketball league at that time in our place in Camella Homes, Las Pinas City”, quipped Byron.
The one who taught him to play the game was his brother. When he started to
play in Camella Homes, there was a group of ballers named GOLTEBS, they were
the prominent team in their place and they guided Byron to improve his skills
in basketball. “I only played one year for UPHSD Juniors. But that one year was
the best for me. It was memorable because my teammates are very kind and
helpful to me, and also the people at Perpetual. I will never forget my team
especially the super seven that I was with when we became champions last year.
The Junior Altas team is the best for me”, added Byron.
His number one goal would be to become a professional basketball player in the
PBA. But he knows that before he gets that goal, he has to work hard for that.
“For me, the greatest basketball player of all time would be LeBron James
because every season, he continues to prove to everyone that he is the greatest
NBA player of all time” said Byron.
