Golden State Warriors found Japanese Gold in Rakuten Jersey Sponsorship Deal
The Golden State Warriors surpassed the Cleveland Cavaliers jersey deal by almost doubling the worth that Goodyear gave to the Cavs. Rakuten, a Japanese tech firm gave $20 million dollars for the span of three years to put their logo on the jerseys of the defending champion.
With the switch from Adidas to Nike, the NBA also allowed jersey sponsorships this year and may just be the beginning. Sooner or later, the NBA also might allow more patches and it may look like a Nascar Uniform.
